Creedo Ordo Harr Megiddo

A Knight of Megiddo is with out care,
He walks where the weak and heartless won't dare,
And if by chance he should lose control,
His Brothers are there to help reach the goal.
For one who is worthy, no need is to great,
He needs but to ask, fulfillment's his fate.

For a Knight of Megiddo death hold no fear,
Vengence is his, for the Order's still here.
Our "Circle of Union"means what it implies,
A Brother's a Brother until that Brother dies.
For if he was loyal and never lost Faith,
In each Brothers heart he will always have place.

So Knight of Megiddo I am and always will be,
Even after my life is taken from me,
I shall lie down content, Proud that I stood,
For the "Truth of the King" with this Brotherhood.
Faithful even in death for the Will does not fall,
I stand ready for action at the "Clarion's Call".

On Knighthood

It is those who face great difficulty, even withering criticism, yet continue to be high minded to carry themselves with a warriors dignity in the teeth of a world that demands we be anything but noble. The Hero endures without complaint makes do with what is and seeks always to transform even the basest thing into something better. This lies not in the denial of self but beyond the self. It is a Divine catalyst that transforms not only the Hero but each of us who beholds him as well.

A little philosophy

In the beginning all men were equal in the eyes of god, all coming forth from one father and mother. Then did wickedness enter into the world, and might triumphed over right. So the King looked about and found a handful among the Righteous who were strong and feared none but He, and He appointed them to be the Guarantors and Defenders of the weak and humble, and he did call these men Knights…….

A Knight doth swear:

To break the Heathen and uphold the Christ,

To ride abroad redressing human wrongs,

To speak no slander, no, nor listen to it,

To honor his own words as if his Gods.

Or simply:

Live pure

Speak true

Right wrong

Follow the King

The Oldest Warrior

At age 65 I took up the sport of sword fighting. And, since there aren't a lot of guys my age in the sport, most of my opponents are in the 20s and 30s. I had to "climb the hill" (fight each of the members until I received their nod to join). Then, I joined the Holy Order of the Hill of Megiddo, and I proudly wear their colors. So, how 'bout it - any more old guys out there in cyber space who are involved in Western Martial Arts or who are willing to learn?
